Tiger Woods to quit golf? Elin demands ultimate ultimatum
However, Tiger has told his wife he will "do anything" to save their family. The Sun reports that Elin wants him to give up touring until he regains her trust, or until the couples' children Sam and Charlie are old enough to tag along with them. Sam and Charlie are both currently under the age of 3.
Given the fact that Tiger Woods quitting golf would be devastating to those following the sport, I headed out to a local golf supply store to talk to people on their way in and out. Here is what they had to say:
Diane was heading to the golf supply store to buy her husband some Christmas presents. She said she would make the exact same ultimatum that Elin Nordegren Woods did.
Larry says he thinks Tiger should stick in there with his family, as his fans will understand his decision. When he makes a come back in a couple of years, he will have their respect back for doing the right thing.
Justin said that $80 million is a lot less than what Tiger would lose if he quit playing golf. He says Tiger Woods should stand his ground and continue playing golf.
So why would Elin even ask her husband to quit playing golf? According to the Orlando Sentinel, a friend of Elin Nordegren said:
It will be a long time before he's traveling the globe playing golf unless Elin's by his side. Tiger will have to work long and hard to get her to trust him again. Quitting golf shows he is willing to sacrifice something he loves so much to protect his family.
Will Tiger Woods really quit golf? Only time will tell.

O''Brien, Tuffey heroics leave Pak facing the barrel on first day of Napier Test
New Zealand fast bowlers Iain O''Brien and Daryl Tuffey’s heroics restricted Pakistan’s first innings to 223 runs on the first day of the third and deciding Test at McLean Park in Napier.
Pakistan skipper Mohammad Yousuf had won the toss and opted to bat, but outstanding bowling performance by O''Brien and Tuffey, with figures of four for 35 and four for 52 respectively, made the visiting batsmen struggle.
O''Brien removed the recalled Faisal Iqbal, then dislodged Pakistan''s batting axis - Mohammad Yousuf and Umar Akmal - before they could record a run between them. Yousuf edged a cramped cut to McIntosh at second slip to end an uncomfortable 14-ball stay, while Akmal gave Martin Guptill catching practice in the gully instead of leaving a short ball or plugging it through point, NZPA reported.
Four balls later O''Brien had Misbah-ul-Haq caught at the wicket - the first of Brendon McCullum''s five catches - to give O''Brien a dream analysis of four for three from five overs. While, Tuffey cleaned up the tailenders. Pakistan was helped by a single-handed effort from opener Imran Farhat, who carried his bat to finish 117 not out. Farhat''s long overdue third test century enabled him to become only the fourth Pakistani batsmen to carry his bat through an innings. In the 19 overs available before bad light stopped play, New Zealand reached a soothing 47 without loss, taking their side to within 176 runs of Pakistan''s disappointing total. The series is tied at 1-1 after New Zealand won the opening Test in Dunedin and Pakistan levelled it up with victory in the second Test in Wellington.

Serena Williams attacks officials for penalizing her, says it is `totally sexist’
Considered by many to be fortunate to escape suspension for abusing a lineswoman at the US Open, Williams claims that the 175,000-dollar fine is excessive, and sexist.
Williams was found guilty by the Grand Slam committee of aggravated behaviour for screaming at the lineswoman: "If I could. I would take this f... ing ball and shove it down your f... ing throat."
According to the Daily Telegraph, the committee had the power to ban Williams but opted to give her a suspended sentence until 2011.
Williams, who earned $US6.5 million in 2009, however, believes she has been unfairly singled out.
In her blog for global. grind. com, Williams said John McEnroe and Jeff Tarango had got off lightly for breaches of the sport''s code of conduct.

Robinho insists his future is with Manchester City

Brazil forward Robinho reiterated Friday that he has no intention of leaving Manchester City in the January transfer widow.
He has repeatedly been linked with a move away from the English Premier League club, with Barcelona listed as one of his potential destinations.
But having returned after a three-month absence with an ankle injury, Robinho insisted he is enjoying life at City.
"I am very happy at Manchester City and I intend to continue playing here for a long time," he told the BBC.
"My focus is with Manchester City. There will always be speculation but I am very happy and so are my family. I hope to continue playing here.
"I think I will stay five years, 10 years - I don't know. I love it here and love the fans.
"I am enjoying playing English football. It is very beautiful. With every game I play, I feel more comfortable. I hope to continue playing football in England for a long time."
Robinho, who came to City in 2008 from Real Madrid, believes the club is well placed to win trophies.
"I want to be champion," he said. "I've been lucky that every team in which I have played, I have been able to be a champion. My frame of mind has not changed playing forManchester City.
"To finish in the top four would not be bad but we are going to fight for the title until the end.
"I think the morale of the team is improving. It is a winning spirit and our mentality has to be that of the team that wants to win and that wants to be champions.
"We have a great manager in Mark Hughes. He has proved this in all the teams he has managed and is showing that now with Manchester City.
"He has a great relationship with all the players, including me, and I hope that this year we can be champions together; that is our goal."
City, who face Bolton on Saturday, lie two points behind fourth- placed Tottenham Hotspur in sixth place with a game in hand.08:56 | 0 Comments
Injured Kallis turns to oxygen chamber for fast recovery

Injured South African all rounder Jacques Kallis has turned to an oxygen chamber in a bid to recover in time for the first Test against England at Centurion next week.
Kallis is doubtful for the match after suffering a fractured rib that ruled him out of the entire ODI series, and in his quest to make a comeback, he has resorted to spending long hours in an oxygen tent to speed up his recovery, The Mirror reported.
Meanwhile, talking about possibilities of Kallis playing in the Test, South African coach Mickey Arthur said: “We certainly haven''t ruled him out of bowling during the series and we are still working hard with him ahead of theFirst Test.”
It was the same technique used in England''s failed bid to get fast bowler Simon Jones fit for the final Ashes Test of 2005.
Kallis’ injury was first felt in the Twenty20 Champions League in India, but he tried to play through the injury before being finally ruled on the eve of the one-day series against England.
Although South Africa have not officially given up hope of his inclusion in the first Test starting in a fortnight they will take no risk whatever on his fitness, they are clearly desperate that he plays in the rest of the series.08:52 | 0 Comments
Champions Challenge: India to meet Pakistan in semis

India scored a thrilling 4-2 win over
Belgium in their last pool match and set up a semifinal clash with
arch-rivals Pakistan in the Champions Challenge hockey tournament here.
India scored through Dhananjay Mahadik (19th minute), Shivendra Singh (30), Tushar Khandker (48) and Prabhjot Singh (70).
Jerome Dekeyser (24 min) and Renaud Pangrazio (25) gave Belgium a 2-1 lead before India struck back.
The
victory Thursday took India to the top of pool A with seven points.
They will meet Pakistan, which came second in pool B after thrashing
South Africa 4-1 in their last match.
The other semifinal will be between pool B toppers Argentina and New Zealand which finished second to India in pool A.
The winner of the tournament qualifies for the Champions Trophy next July in Moenchengladbach, Germany.
Both
India and Belgium were in with a chance to qualify for the semifinals.
India though would have been through with a draw. They churned out an
exciting fare and were locked 2-2 at halftime.
The match began with both teams playing an attacking game and creating chances. India got a penalty corner early but shot wide.
India, however, controlled most of the play, with Shivendra and Prabhjot keeping the Belgian defense busy.
Prabhjot had a great opportunity after stealing a ball from Xavier Reckinger in deep defense but his shot went wide.
India
opened the scoring when Mahadik scored through a penalty corner. They
could have doubled their tally a few minutes later on another penalty
corner, but the initial shot was saved and Rajpal could not negotiate
the rebound.
Belgium showed urgency and after crashing a
penalty corner on the post found the equaliser through a penalty stroke
by Jerome Dekeyser.
A minute later Belgium got the lead through Renaud Pangrazio's field goal.
India pulled one back through Shivendra, who was left unmarked on the far post for an easy deflection.
After an exciting half of hockey, the two teams went for the break at 2-2.
India
missed a chance to break the deadlock early in second half wasting a
penalty corner. The game was played in a high tempo and continued to
sway back and forth.
Khandekar scored in the 48th minute to hand India a 3-2 lead.
Belgium then launched a series of forays but Indian defense stood solid and goalkeeper Adrian D'souza made some good saves.
Prabhjot added one more to India's tally to make it 4-2.
In other matches, New Zealand and China played out a 2-2 draw while Canada beat Argentina 3-2 (IANS)

Ronaldo is even better than me, says Zidane
French legend Zinedine Zidane believes Real Madrid and Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player.
Praising Ronaldo after his two-goal show at the Stade Velodrome on Tuesday, The Mirror quoted Zidane as saying: "He does fantastic things, at times even better then me. Only great players can score such a magnificent goal three minutes into a game. He makes a difference. Some players are different from the rest because they do what others can''t."
The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year added about his former club: "Madrid looked very good to me, of course they can win a 10th European Cup.
"They have very good players, they are improving as a team and it''s only been four months. I would''ve liked Marseille to have also got through, but Madrid were superior.
"You can tell Pellegrini is gradually finding the right system. People should watch out for Real Madrid."00:48 | 0 Comments
